Difficult question to ask yourself when you are on an internet dating date and things have been going well all night long.  I guess it all depends on what direction you want the future of this relationship to go in.  If you are ok with a casual and intimate affairs, then it's more than likely that you will be staying for the fireworks but if you are looking more for long term relationship, then it's best to be prudent and say goodnight early so you can enjoy and look forward to your next date together.

Set the tone early and make sure that you specify on your profile on your internet dating service provider what exactly it is that you are looking for.

You always debate to what to say to someone when you've decided that you like them and would like to get to know them better.  You want to approach them but you don't know how.  Go through the many internet dating sites out there and you will see a whole host of pick up lines that people use, some good, some not so good.

In my opinion, it's best to keep it simple.  If you like someone and you want to connect with them, first be sure to contact them through the internet dating service that they posted their profile under.  Don't try to contact them any other way, now or in the future.  It will only make them suspicious of you.

Next, keep it simple.  A simple, hi how are you and liked your profile (yes, make sure you have actually read their profile). Say something very briefly about yourself (no sob stories here please) and then finish it off with hope to hear from you soon.

Nothing could be simpler and better this than a terrible pick up line that will be sure not to get you any action in the internet dating scene.

How many profiles to you click a day?  Within any internet dating site, you are inundated with hundreds of profiles to go through.  The fact is, most people just skim the picture and very few details about someone in their profile.  If you want to really get to know someone before commencing a relationship with them, then make sure that you take the time to read their profiles.

There are lots of ways to tackle this.  You can start by searching local within your home town, and then go by age and get even more particular specifics.  A quality internet dating site will give you loads of options to choose from when it comes to refining your search.

You will increase your chances of meeting someone while online dating when you expand your search criteria to non-local cities either within your country or outside of your country.  Don't let the distance discourage you as you never know where that special someone lives or where you are supposed to be!  If anything, the distance gives two people an opportunity to get to know each other well before committing to anything more serious.  It actually gives them time to establish trust with one another, which is so important in any relationship be it a romantic one, friendship or just an intimate encounter. 

So the next time you meet someone through an internet dating service that lives no where near you, don't be discouraged and take the time to learn something new about the country they live in and the customs they adhere to.  Internet dating is all about people and the many diversities they represent

I spend the majority of my time when on internet dating sites, reviewing profile pictures.  I've written alot about how important it is to put up a good quality, recent photo of yourself.  The thing that I have not mentioned, and I should have before now, is to describe what the picture is about.  I love reading the captions of the photos posted.  It gives another peek into the daily life of someone and some captions are just hilarious.  So all of you who have profiles and photos up on free internet dating sites and paid ones, go ahead and put in captions for all your photos.  You may just get a nudge or an email as a result of your comments and who knows, something you mention in your photo just might land you the date of your dreams! 

So my girlfriend finally met someone through an online dating site.  Not that she has not met tons of people before, she has, even dated a few of them.  They just were not what she was looking for in a man until she met 'the one' - or so she thought.  Yes, I know what you are thinking, she moved too fast.  Actually, to her credit, she did not and took lots of time to get to know each over via the internet through chatting online and emails, exchanged photos and the whole bit. 

The only trouble is, when they finally agreed to meet, she did not recognize him from the pictures he had provided on his internet dating profile.  He turned out to be 50 lbs lighter than he was from the photos he had sent her.

It turns out he went on a radical diet and lost tons of weight and had not take a current picture of himself.  I said 'cool, it could have been the other way around'.  She agreed but wished he had been more up front about it, at least have given her a head's up about it.

Allot of traffic on internet dating sites happens on the weekend.  This is due mainly because the majority of us who don't have a date are looking for one and devote our free time (ie the weekend) to it.  The week tends to be hectic with work and life in general, so most of us are able to devote more time to online dating on the weekends.  It's a great time to read through all the profiles and decide which ones you would like to make contact with or engage in conversations.  Free online dating services have the added bonus of not charging you a fee for communicating with one another.

Well it's happened again.  Another innocent victim has been taken advantage of on an internet dating romance scam.  As a forum administrator and an internet dating site, it never ceases to amaze me how foolish some people can be.  And as difficult as this is to write, I have to be frank in order to set the record straight.  It seems to me that the older a woman is, the more desperate she becomes in wanting to find a perfect 'mate' and subjects herself to real losers or worse an internet dating service scam. Ladies, ladies, please be smart about who you talk to. Don't give out personal details and information about yourself until you feel that you have truly gotten to know them well.  And by all means, DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!  Never, ever, no matter what.  If they ask you for money, then you drop them right then and there.  No questions asked, don't ever communicate with them again. I wish I could make this a mandatory rule for signing up on a free dating service everywhere.

Does it stand to reason that if you experienced a great first date with someone that chances are you will date them again and odds are you will enter into a long, serious love romance with them?  Statistics say yes you will if you do. It seems that not only to first impressions count, but the first date is just as important.  So presenting yourself in the right way (dress nice, look good), and don't get sloshed on your first date!  Be on your best behavior and choose your date destination well.  More couples are choosing different venues other than going out to eat at a restaurant, such as biking, walking, hiking, going to the movies or a drive in the country.  So your choices are endless when it comes to picking a place for your first internet dating experience.

Well you can be sure that plenty of people today will be delaying their usual blogging on an internet dating site to watch the presidential elections.  None of the polls have closed yet so it's still all for the taking as to who will win this historical presidential election. 

Both candidates have had very successful campaigns, so let's keep our fingers crossed and let the best man win and hope that this time it will not be necessary to recount the votes so that we will know for sure who the President is by the end of the day.
